There is no cure for the flu, and there are no vaccines for new or evolved strains of viruses in the coronavirus family of viruses.
It may sound obvious, but it is worth repeating - and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) think so as well: the easiest way to prevent the spread of diseases is to regularly wash your hands with soap.
A recent Prevention & Treatment report published by the CDC outlines the best preventative measures regarding the 2019 novel coronavirus outbreak:
However, as a reminder, CDC always recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including [washing] your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
This is, of course, the CDC's long-standing advice for illness prevention. They have an entire section of their website dedicated to the education and promotion of regular hand washing.
It is worth considering carrying a travel size bottle of soap wherever you go; there may not always be soap at the places that you visit, and, if soap is present, it may not always be efficacious. Think of a portable bottle of soap as you would a bottle of hand sanitizer.
